Before I had Aaron I worked for an OBGYN. While I was there I heard some fun ways people would find out the gender of their baby. After I heard this idea I was determined I would do this for our 2nd baby. I also had a cute friend in Texas do this a few months ago and it was so fun to watch. Plus, I thought because we lived away from our family this would be a fun video to send to everyone. As it turned out some of our family was in town (and Jeff, Jessica and Peyton joined on Skype), so we were able to share this special occasion with them.
So, last Tuesday we had our ultrasound. The ultrasound tech had us turn away when she was looking to see the gender. She then printed the picture and placed it in an envelope. I drove from the office to the bakery and they took it from there. The directions I gave them were to make the inside pink for a girl and blue for a boy and do a neutral exterior. They were so sweet and loved being part of our celebration. I picked up the cake Friday morning, but due to our previous plans we had to wait until Saturday to cut it. By that point I was SO ready! I swear the previous four days lasted longer then the previous four months!
Here is the darling cake made by Sugarlips Cakery.

We were so excited!!!
The result...it's a GIRL!
I think Aaron was more excited about eating the cake. Judging from how he was acting after, I think he ate this whole piece! He was running in circles!
Aaron had a lot of fun with Uncle Kyle and Uncle Sam.
More cake for Aaron.
Scott and Dre joined in our party! We love having them so close.
Our very happy little family!
