Nick's 27th Birthday

On Thursday we celebrated Nick's Birthday. We had our friends, Kirk, Heather, Kayla and Kynda (and Kapri) over for dinner and presents. It is always really fun to spend time with them. We really love their girls.

Nick wanted black bean soup, homemade french bread and Skor cake. It was delicious if I do say so myself.







Heather and I had fun talking while Nick and Kirk were watching the GOP debate. After the debate Nick opened his presents. I surprised him with a jigsaw. He really wasn't expected that, but I thought that eventually he will use it.






The girls eventually got bored so they decided to jump into the Love Sac. They really enjoy Nick throwing them into it. They are so cute and make us laugh. Like when I was demonstrating to Kayla how my blanket changed from a pillow to a blanket, she replied "oh my heavens to hearts". So Cute! I just started laughing, I didn't even know what to say.

Everyday Life

So, I have been waiting to post some momentous occasion. Then I realized that my life doesn't usually have those. So, I will just update everyone on what we are up to.

Nick has just started his second semester of his second year in law school. It seems as though he is enjoying it. He is also working for the university as a member of the general counsel. He really likes it and he gets along with the people he works with. He is also volunteering at the Oklahoma City District Attorney's office. He gets to do a lot of interesting things there. He also just passed his legal interns exam, so he can start doing litigation.

I have been working as an RN at an OBGYN office. I really enjoy what I am doing. I am learning so much and I just celebrated my one year anniversary there. Yea!! I am also the 2nd counselor in YW at church. It is a really fun calling. I enjoy the other women as well as the girls.

We also just got a web cam and we have been talking with my family. It has been so much fun! It was so crazy to see how big Jessica's tummy is getting. I am so excited to go home and see her. I will be in Utah, hopefully, in March sometime. More details to come...
